FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE does not collect deposits. We do require the first month’s rent at lease signing, and offer a second month prorate. This means that if you move in during the month, you will receive credit on your second month statement for the days in the move-in month prior to leasing.

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE is a member of the Texas Self Storage Association, and uses TSSA contracts. We also follow TSSA guidelines and the Texas Property Code for dealing with legal issues.

 

FAQ QuestionWhat security measures have you taken to protect my belongings while stored with you?

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE is a gated facility with an electronic keypad access system that allows tenants to enter the facility after office hours, on holidays, or weekends. This system works with our computer to monitor access. The gate locks from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night for additional security. Each climate-controlled building also has a keypad code for access into the building where each unit then has its individual owner’s lock. In addition, we have video cameras recording 24 hours a day with the capability of retrieving information for admission in criminal proceedings if warranted.

 

FAQ QuestionHow will I remember when my rent is due?

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE sends end-of-month statements to notify tenants of rent due. All rent is due on the 1st of the month with a 10 day grace period before late fees begin to accrue. We also send out “Did you forget us?” notices mid-month as a courtesy. Each statement includes a return self-addressed envelope for your convenience.

 

FAQ QuestionWhat if I move, change my phone numbers, or other information?

FAQ AnswerIf you have an address change, just enter the change on the return section of the payment envelope, mark the address change box, and sign by the “X” so that we have official notification of your new information. Part of your responsibility as a tenant is to keep us informed of your current address and phone numbers. You may also call and give the new information over the phone. We will then mail you a change of information form with a postage paid return envelope for your convenience. Just fill out the form, return in the envelope, and we will update our records.

 

FAQ QuestionCan I pay with a debit or credit card?

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE accepts both debit and credit card payments for VISA, DISCOVER, and MASTERCARD in the office, via phone call, or through our ONLINE PAYMENTS thru this website.. We do not accept American Express.
You can also set up autobill by adding your credit or debit card information to your account. The first of the month the system will generate a transaction for you. We will mail you the receipt or file it in your office file. If an e-mail address is on file, you will receive an e-mail receipt. This is a very convenient way to handle your rental payments.

 

FAQ QuestionWhat if the office is closed and I need to pay?

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE accepts debit and credit card payments over the phone. We also have a U-HAUL dropbox located in the front parking lot where you may leave checks or money orders in your payment envelope. The box is checked every business day morning and after lunch.
Of course, with our ONLINE PAYMENT option on this website, you can make your rental payments anytime, from anywhere in the world. With your e-mail address and security code for the facility gate, you can be set up to check your account or make payments. Please allow 24 hours for processing your ONLINE PAYMENT set up.

 

FAQ QuestionDo you supply the lock for my unit?

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE does not supply your lock, but we do sell MOVE ‘N STORE disk locks in our office store. These laser welded locks have a hardened steel shackle, stainless steel body, and 5-pin tumbler. Each lock includes two keys, and are ideal for securing your self-storage space. We do have move-in specials offering locks, packing supplies, or other merchandise, so watch this site or give us a call for more information.

 

FAQ QuestionWhat size units do you have?

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE offers 5×10, 10×10, 10×15, and 10×20 regular self-storage units. We also offer the same sizes in climate-controlled storage plus a 5×5 unit (limited units available). This range of sizes allows tenants to adjust their storage as their needs change. We can transfer accounts up to larger and down to smaller storage as the need arises. Our 10×20 units are often in great demand, so we offer the option of leasing two 10×10 units for the same rate as a 10×20 when required.

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE offers customer storage insurance through SAFESTOR. Coverage is available at low monthly rates. Premiums are added to your monthly storage rental statement—so convenient to make one payment.

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE is a U-HAUL affiliated dealer. We can arrange for ”the right equipment at the lowest cost” for your move.

FAQ AnswerMINI-WEST STORAGE offers U-HAUL boxes and packing supplies in our office store. We have wardrobes, lamp, mirror, dish, and glass pak boxes plus wrapping paper, plastic or paper tape, biodegradable packing peanuts, bubble wrap, mattress bags, sofa covers, and more at reasonable prices.
